4. Set sensible defaults: index your content, noindex thin archive types you do not want ranking (author archives, tag pages you do not use), and confirm canonical tags are being output.
5. Spot-check a few live pages’ source to confirm the title, meta description, canonical, and Open Graph tags are all present.

The critical rule: run exactly one SEO plugin.
