The WP Clan delivers enterprise WordPress projects and is an accepted Automattic for Agencies partner. We run our own WordPress VIP environment: we use the platform daily, try new capabilities as they ship, and report back to Automattic what we find missing.
We work with teams making enterprise WordPress decisions in Europe, the UK, the US and Turkey.
How responsibility is shared
VIP runs the platform. The agency runs the work. The organisation owns the outcome.
- WordPress VIP: infrastructure, security, compliance, continuity, platform operations.
- The WP Clan: architecture, development, integration, migration, delivery and continuous improvement.
- You: strategy, brand, content, commercial outcome.
Drawing that boundary clearly in the contract matters. When something goes wrong, who is on point is not a discussion.
What we do
- Decision support. Is VIP right for you? An honest assessment across your traffic profile, compliance requirements, current setup and team structure. If it is not right, we say so.
- Migration. From inventory to launch, with search visibility protected.
- Multi-country, multi-language structures. Designing how markets, languages, teams and permissions fit together before anything is built. More on this.
- Development. Enterprise-scale design, editorial experience and bespoke functionality.
- Integration. Connecting your corporate systems, commerce platform and marketing tools.
- Measurement. Protecting data continuity through a platform change and setting up reporting.
- AI integration. Putting AI tools to work inside your governance rules, in an auditable way.
Why us
Plenty of firms call themselves a VIP agency. The question that separates them is whether they actually use the platform or have only read the brochure.
- We run our own VIP environment; everything we describe, we tested there.
- We set up the platform’s new AI layer end to end and identified behaviours not covered in the documentation, which we reported to Automattic.
- We verified several of the platform’s constraints by testing, which is why we know which expectations have to be raised during contracting.
- We have a long delivery record in enterprise WordPress and commerce projects.
Questions to ask any VIP agency
Not so you hire us. So you hire the right one. These surface quickly whether an agency knows the platform.
- Do you run your own VIP environment, and for how long? Using it daily is not the same as reading about it.
- Which of the tools in our current setup become redundant on VIP? If the answer is “we migrate everything”, that is a problem.
- How do you protect search visibility through the move? They should describe a concrete method.
- Which of our requirements must be raised during contracting? An agency that can answer this has lived with the platform’s constraints.
- Which responsibility is yours and which is the platform’s? An agency that cannot draw that line today will not draw it during an incident.
- How will our team work after the move? A proposal without a training and handover plan is incomplete.
How we start
- A short call. Your traffic profile, compliance requirements, current setup and timeline.
- Inventory. A breakdown of your current setup with a decision against every component.
- A decision document. Is VIP right, which service level, how long the migration takes and what it brings your organisation.
- Delivery. If you decide to go ahead, we run the migration and the build.
At the end of the first two steps you hold a document you can take into a vendor conversation whether or not you work with us. If you are making an enterprise WordPress decision, get in touch.
